Country music is okay when it’s for a good cause

by crankygeek ~ January 25th, 2005. Filed under: Software.

Nick Bradbury helped sponsor MaxItOut, a charity which supports menengitis education and research. As a sponsor, his software logos were shown on stage during performances by country music artists such as Keith Urban, Wynonna and Faith Hill.

Good for Nick, except…he didn’t put any pictures of Faith Hill on his blog to back up his claim!

But seriously, this is yet another reason that TopStyle and FeedDemon are listed among the things I like. Just last month Nick contributed all proceeds (totaling over $8000) to the American Red Cross for Tsunami relief.

If you’re a web coder or a newshound, you owe it to yourself to support software publishers like Nick.

I’d rather that he donate to charities and such that do not recieve government funding. That’s where the real need lies.

I use FeedDemon all the time. And……sigh……Faith Hill. We definitely need more pictures of her. Like this.

Thanks, Jack! Oh, and as soon as I find a picture, I’ll post it :)
