The Style formerly knows as Prince

Alright, Prince is good. It’s a nice, tight summary style and it makes it easy to scan through headlines.

Maybe it’s just me and the feeds I subscribe to, but I can’t always tell if I want to click through based on some of the titles I’m seeing. So I’ve hacked up Prince a bit and added an excerpt from the post. I’ve tried to keep things subdued enough that you can still fly through headings while allowing a peek at the content, just in case you need it.

Ladies and Gentelemen, I present “The Artist.”

The Artist’s stylist and handlers are happy to get any feedback and will consider updating The Artist’s appearance to keep it relevant (i.e. let me know what you think).

Nice work, Jack. I’m wondering if a better alternative would be to put a plaintext version of the description in the title attribute of the anchor tag. That way, the description would appear as a tooltip when you mouse over the link. (Of course, right now FeedDemon doesn’t export a plaintext version of the description…)

PS: Might want to use the word “FeedDemon” in your title - more people will find this post that way. That, and mention that the style only works in v1.6 RC1 at the moment :)

I posted a trackback to the post where you mentioned Prince the first time. I wonder if that failed?

Thank you so much for The Artist. I haven’t used the Newspaper option for awhile but now I will much more often.
